Identification: plant idetifying help

    my neighbor gave me this plant and i am not sure what kind of plant it is. im trying to find out online with now luck it has very soft needles. i am attaching picture and would appreciate any help

    also woundering should i try to remove the yellow part of the plant or just leave it for right now

    Looks like Asparagus setaceus, Asparagus Fern.
    Note: This is not a fern in spite of its name.

    should i trim off the yellow parts or just leave them they are not as bad as the one picture makes them look

    I'm not sure but it's safe to just leave it alone and see what it does.

    Ditto to Asparagus (Asparagus setaceus). It is NOT a fern as stated above, though.
