Re: Pant identity? Found this Growing in Palos Verdes, Ca. I'm thinking more like this, after it has died down and shed its old leaves and seed-heads: http://www.draperwildlife.com/PlantIndexPage/Burdock.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...rctium_tomentosum_HP709_Seittitakiainen_C.JPG http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f0/Nsr-slika-423.png
Re: Pant identity? Found this Growing in Palos Verdes, Ca. I'm with Michael on this one - Agave and Yucca do make stalks like that, but never that short or skinny. Agave, for one, put up masts at least 4-5 feet tall and a great deal broader than that one. Equally, the two monocots mentioned before don't produce that kind of branching. It looks a great deal more like old Burdock. Of course, if you had happened upon it when it still had leaves, it would be much easier to say something more than "Stick, Palo muerte" for it.
Re: Pant identity? Found this Growing in Palos Verdes, Ca. Feliz Navidad y Prospero Año Nuevo a usted, Togata!
