Plant Identification

Any idea what this is? I am new to the coast and have no idea except I like this plant.

Thanks so much. I guess i will have to keep an eye on this one or just rip it out.

 

Hard to yank, may need a tool. Will be likely to form a colony if not removed.

 

Definitely looks like spurge laurel, Daphne laureola. If anything, do not let it go to seed!
I wrote a blog post about it, and suggest some good alternative plants to replace it.
