    Thanks so very much - I don't know much about plants, but this is one in our yard in Florida. It is the second bloom. My husband cut off the first bloom, planted it, and it is growing.

    Gardening here is quite different from Central Pennsylvania, where we stuck mostly with shrubs because of our severe winters. We love that we have flowers blooming all year round!

    A cut flower head will not turn into a plant.

    Hi, Ron,

    Thanks for the info. The one plant we have is over 6' tall - and absolutely beautiful. We read that the blossoms eventually put out seeds, which is how this plant is reproduced. We will watch with amazement if another one pops up sometime in the future.
