Welcome to the Forum. Are the leaves palmate? Hard to see in photo. If so, maybe Schefflera. Visible soil looks very dry. Assume photo taken immediately after repotting...? How about a more recent photo?
I have learnt to care for this plant by trial and error. I only pour water in the tray...never in the soil. I keep the top 7 to 12 cm loose. The root system has taken up the entire soil and I break roots every time I break up the surface. I have grown several more plants from branches I have broken off. more pictures. Re-potting has not taken place in over a year Leaves are not palmate.
Advise a good thorough watering of the soil, so that the water drains out of the bottom of the pot. One method is to put your plant in the tub and give it a gentle, tepid shower. This will not only deliver good moisture to the roots, but flush out chemical buildup and rinse dust off the leaves. Do not let it stand in water, or let the soil become soggy. Correction: I should have asked if the leaves are palmately compound.
Plant is a schefflera (octopus tree, umbrella tree etc.) - surely one of the most commonly used tropical ornamentals. Where grown outdoors it produces curious long, spoke-like segments from the tops of the trunks when flowering. This is probably the basis for octopus tree.
