My son gave me a tiny little cutting, and it has grown into this lovely plant with the most amazing flowers. At first they look just as they in the picture, then later on a yellow and red speckled 'tongue emerges - most spectacular! I have no idea what it is - can anybody help please?

Welcome evie. Possibly an Aeschynanthus sp.
I have found this pic which is allegedly of A. radicans. However it looks like no other pic of A. radicans, so it may be misnamed.
Please can you add to this thread a pic of the flower when open, and as you have described it.

hello Silver Surfer, and thank you for your reply. Looking at your picture, I reckon the plant I have is clearly the same as the one in your pic (Aeschynanthus sp.?) ; unfortunately I don't have a pic at present showing the flowers fully out, but they look exactly like those in your pic. I'm about to go and Google Aeschynanthus sp. right now, to find out more about this amazing plant! Many thanks for your help.
