This plant starting popping up right outside my garden the first summer in my new home. I believe there was a garden in this area before, but it was an empty block of dirt when I moved in. I'm not sure if its just a weed, or something that was once intentionally planted. Can anyone help me identify what this plant is? I live in SE PA, if that helps. Thanks :)
Spring Salad With Purslane and Honey Dressing 2 cups leaf lettuce, torn into pieces 2 cups purslane leaves, torn into pieces 2 cups spinach leaves, torn into pieces 10 radishes, sliced Honey Dressing Combine all salad greens and the radishes in a salad bowl and toss. Will this grow well in a pot? I might try transplanting it. I just don't want it taking over my garden, its a very small space.
I have mine in pots to keep them out of the veggie patch - they do wonderfully and require very little care. I like them for sandwich greens in place of watercress.
