Could someone identify this plant for me? I have attached two photos, one of the plant itself, and the other of a stalk with a few, albeit, wilted flowers. Thanks for the help.

    Ledebouria socialis 'Violacea'

It is the widely grown purple leafed form of the species, originally called Scilla violacea. Typical Ledebouria socialis has green leaves. The bulbs grow above ground normally.

If growing indoors, make sure it gets plenty of light during winter, if not, the leaves tend to get elongated.

Yeah, I want one. I have a fondness for paphiopedilum orchids...with their beautiful spotty leaves...and my birthday is coming up. OK, see ya later---I'm off on a Ledebouria quest!
