    I know it is in the Malvaceae family, just not sure if it is a Malva or Lavatera. Really super pics Durgan

    How do reconcile the deeply cut leaves with Malva moschata rosea?

    Note that with both M. moschata and M. alcea it is the upper leaves only that are deeply divided.

    They differ in technical details such as the nature of the hairs (e.g. M. moschata floral hairs are mostly ordinary rather than star-shaped).
