I purchased a plant at a yard sale many, many years ago. It is a wonderful plant and easy to take care of. I have taken this to a local nursery and had no luck with the identification. The only thing that I can remember when I purchased this is that the older woman called it a penny plant. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you could post a file other than a ZIP it would be good. I am virus aware and ZIP files can be a major issue. can you doa reasonable sized JPG?

I will try - but this is a new computer and I am better at taking care of plants than working with electronics!! :)

This lovely plant is Peperomia polybotrya, "Coin Leaf Peperomia." Note the spelling: the website I link to has it as polybotria, which seems to be a common typo. I do wish this species were offered by producers more often. There's surprisingly little info on it online, too.

ADDENDUM: Okay, I jumped the gun on this one. It's the wrong ID-- see below.

Hmm. Now that I've compared them, I think Junglekeeper may be right. The leaves aren't as pointed as the Peperomia, and they're spaced more closely together along the stem. Plus they're just.. greener. So, I retract my previous post. :(
