Hi forum members, I spotted this shrub today in a natural area along the Fraser River. It was about 1m tall, not very many branches - kind of willow-like in form, but the leaves are opposite. Kind of dogwood like, but the leaves are much narrower than what I'm used to. Leaves are somewhat textured but no hairs. Thanks in advance for any suggestions! Sarah
First of all, according to Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loquat see http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3172/2861782108_8b46fdb1df_z.jpg?zz=1 It looks like the leaves on the picture here are whorled, with smooth margins, and, as sarahprimeau says "Leaves are somewhat textured but no hairs".
