I am new to this forum, so I hope this is the right place to post this. I have a succulent that is very "twiggy" and has started to bloom. I have not been able to identify it, and was hoping someone on here could help?

Thanks... I like the name. I did a google search on the scientific name and noticed a few that have been trimmed close. No flowers on those, but could be like this one and only bloom every few years.

The name "Drunkark's Dream" comes from the fact that the fatter segments on the stems look to be "bottle shaped." a drinkers dream:) It's also been called, Dancing Bones.

I had one of these for years. I think it bloomed most years. Eventually its growth showered down over the side of the pot, which was also pleasing.

I believe this plant requires a certain length of time in darkness to induce flowering. This appears to be the case with mine.

I never noticed this but my crab cacti also flower annually with the room lights being on after dusk. Did see recently that Sunset WESTERN GARDEN BOOK mentions putting Christmas cacti in the dark at night to induce bud set but does not prescribe this for crab cacti.

Up on cripple creek, she sends me
If I spring a leak, she mends me
I don't have to speak, she defends me
A drunkards dream if I ever did see one.
