I received a leaf cutting from my friend in Southern California. It was from an outdoors plant. I was told to plant it in cactus soil, which I did. It seems to be sprouting new shoots (?). Can anyone identify this plant, and tell me how to care for it?

Epiphyllum, likely E. oxypetalum - a frequently asked about plant.

Maybe an outdoor plant in southern California, but definitely not in Massachusetts! Indoors, with a winter minimum of 10° to 15°C. Keep on the dryish side over winter, but it'll need regular water in summer.
