First pic is Phytolacca americana, second is a Wisteria.

Could the second photo be a walnut or butternut seedling instead of a Wisteria? Juglans spp. have compound pinnate leaves? Have you dug up a seedling yet?

My father has a plant wih berries similar to the first photo that I always thought was gingseng. I'm going to take a closer look and ask him about his plants. I may have to correct him!

I doubt that... It is all over the place in my yard, and has these vines that run between them....

As for the other, now that I know what to look for, it is most definitely Phytolacca americana, or Pokeweed... Have to get rid of that too....

I always left the Pokeweed for the birds. They love the berries. Pokeweed is also good eating but only when the plants are very young. One the plant stems turn red they're poisonous. If you've ever eaten Collard greens Pokeweed is a bit similar in that it's a very mild flavor, not bitter like most other greens are.
