please help me identify this plant. and this plant is sick, can somebody advise on how i can help it recover? thanks.
I think I had one of those.... It died... I found out the following AFTER it died. This is what I was told to do. Keep the soil lightly humid. Watering once a week. (NOT every two days as I was doing, because it was dried out.) Keep the plant HUMID that is, spray it with water like what a hair spray bottle would put out. I was told it was a tropical plant, therefore it needed to be humid. I bought a spray bottle at the dollar store, but it was obviously too late. (note: do not recycle hair spray bottles for your plants!) Oh yeah. NO direct sunlight.
Araucaria heterophylla or Norfolk island pine. More advice for this plant can be found on the monkey puzzle trees and relatives forum
Will follow your advice and hopefully it will recover. I will put it back in now. Thanks for your help.
