This is the best of three photos of a beautiful wildflower that was growing on rocky outcrops on Monte Subasio in the Umbria region of Italy in late May 2014. I believe it is a member of the pink family (Caryophyllaceae), possibly Silene armeria. If the photo is of good enough quality to permit definite identification of the species, I would appreciate help from anyone familiar with the Umbrian flora.
Looks like Centranthus rubens. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=c...JcP4UPq1gegM&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1536&bih=728
