I just bought a new house with very extensive gardens that were neglected for a few years and am a little overwhelmed. Can anyone please ID this guy for me? He is in my vegetable garden (many of him) and I have to move him. He has some kind of a ribbed bulb root, though I doubt it is technically a bulb that is the best way I can describe it. He is still small. There is also one of these guys.. the second attachment. There's plenty more stuff I could ask for ID on but that'll do for now. Thanks. :)

Not unless it was 6 months ago, before the snow cover... it is a new house we bought and no one was been taking care of it. But that is interesting how neat it is.
