    Hello everyone.
This past week while hiking along the shore of Lake Michigan I came across this plant. It is a succulent of some sort and had the same feel as an aloe vera plant with the exception of the small prickers that line that plant. It was only one plant and was growing where water could easily reach it if the water levels rose. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.
    Maggie

Wetland Plants of Wisconsin -> one of the Schoenoplectus species (or bulrushes), either S. acutus or S. tabernaemontani - it'd be helpful to have a photo of the inflorescence to identify it fully.
