The bush is in a shaded area of fairly tall trees. This plant had no defects due to insects.,There was another in a open space, which had much insect damage, but I did not see any insects. The bush attracts attention due to the different flower structure. This is the first year that I have seen it. Would appreciate a name due to curiosity. Location Brantford, ON. http://www.durgan.org/URL/?ONLOO 22 May 2012 Plant for Identification
Viburnum opulus. Note the leaves are very different from Hydrangea. Later you will have beautiful translucent berries. There is also one that has translucent yellow berries. https://www.google.co.uk/search?sug...JEu&biw=1280&bih=647&sei=O5a8T_X9O9Go8AOL8MFl https://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=...urce=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=Lpe8T_CbB4bg8AOk4vyRAQ
Did notice the leaves, but thought that maybe this was a variety in which leaves were a different shape than the norm. (Oak-leaf hydrangea, e.g.) Thanks for nailing this one, S.s.!
