I have a houseplant whose stems seem to be breaking open (or being broken open?) and are browning around the edges. It also seems like there are brown "vines" attaching themselves to the plant, but I can't tell if these brown vines are just part of the plant itself. There are also a number of small, round, brownish objects in the soil. Are there some kind of bugs in my plant? Or something else?
HI there .. there is nothing wrong with your plant .. it is very healthy ... it looks like a Marble Queen Pothos .. (if it is white marbleing) ..if it has a yellow marbleing then it is a Devils Ivy .. and those brown streaks you see were the leaves are comeing out is normal .. it is just like a little bit of skin from were they first emerge . and those brown shoots comeing out of the plants is aerial roots .that is normal ..ad th little balls in the dirt is just fertilizer that nurseries use .. you have a beautifull plant there and nothing to worry about ..
