Identification: Plant clipping

I got this clipping from my mom and I can't figure out what it is. I have tried looking for it online but I can't seem to find it. Can you help.

 

it looks like it'd be an aroid...maybe a philodendron or maybe colacasia or the like.

has your mom's plant ever flowered? if so, if you could provide a pic, that would help immensely. if no pic, then as good a description as you can give.

my first instinct WAS philodendron. i'm still new with them and can't do species id's yet.

i know the owner of that site, i'll forward your pic to him and see what he thinks!

you found the correct id. it will morph as it grows and gets older. whatever care info that is on his site is absolutely spot-on correct, so you're plant will do fine if you follow what he says to do.
