Tree ID Please These trees where found in Northern Wisconsin. The pictures were taken in August. I apologize I don't have a close up of their needles. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thank you
This looks like Pinus resinosa, or red pine, which is native to Wisconsin. Identifying pines usually starts with knowing how many needles are in each bundle. Fortunately, in your fourth photograph, there is a bundle that has fallen and attached to the trunk and clearly shows this is a two-needle pine (at the bottom of the photograph).
