Pinus armandii

A rather short-needled form, probably northern Chinese origin. Any idea where it is growing?

 

I'll find local origin but it might take until over the weekend.

Cones on this one are 15-17cm, the needles 12-15cm. Seed origin Yunnan (so only zone 8/9 hardy), growing at RBG Edinburgh.

Just heard Michael... The tree is from The State Arboretum of Virginia, aka, the White Arboretum. The photos of needles for P. armandii 'Pendula' is from: The NCSU Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Extension Center at Asheville,NC.
