This lilac tree has been in our back garden for almost 30 years. We like this tree so much we want to plant one out front. It has a small tree form, never suckers, and takes abuse and neglect well. Plus the deer never touch it.

This entire time we assumed it was a Korean lilac. Now we doubt it. What is this thing???

The tree is nearing the end of its bloom cycle, so bloom size is reduced.
