I'm trying to find a buyer for my Pink Pearl Rhododendron. It is 17' in diameter and 13' high. Please let me know if you have any idea how to find a new home for this beautiful plant. I have attached a picture. Cheers,
Wow! What a specimen! Looked it up--gorgeous blossoms. Why must it be moved...grown too big for the space? Can a plant of this size BE moved successfully? When, and how? How about inquiring at your nearest arboretum? The new owner is going to need at least 4 things: 1. Enough space for it; 2. The right location for it; 3. Knowledge of rhododendron culture; and 4. A backhoe and trailer! ---Hospital, school, or office grounds...do you have an alma mater that would appreciate this generous donation? ---Well, you're looking for a buyer, not an adopter, but you get the idea. Visualize where this plant would be happy to live, then find out with whom you have to talk to make it so. And: Welcome to the Forum!
Foliage does not look like that of 'Pink Pearl' in this view. It would be easier to suggest which hybrid it might be ('Pink Pearl' or otherwise) if a much closer view was shown. Such specimens are of use mostly to landscape contractors and big tree companies supplying customers interested in acquiring - and able to pay for - plants already of large size.
