(Edit) Oops, sorry, I meant one-petaled flower, not one-leaved :)

    Hi there,

My friend bought this plant (see links below) for me but doesn't know what it is called. She told me that I'm supposed to water it twice a day and no direct sunlight, but twice a day sounds like a lot!

Could someone please help me identify it? It's so pretty and I don't want it to die on me.

(There is a little water droplet at the end of each leaf.)

That's a fancy Zantedeschia or a Canna (without seeing more of the leaves I couldn't tell you which.) They like soils with lots of drainage, frequent small amounts of water, and dappled shade.

Thanks so much for your reply, lorax!!! The flower definitely looks more like a Zantedeschia, but the leaves are a bit different. I forgot to mention that there is a little water droplet at the end of each leaf. Here are some pictures of the leaves:

OK, the leaves confirm that it's a Calla cultivar (sorry about the Calla-Canna typo thingy - the two mix in my mind despite being quite separate plants!) 'Pink Giant' is fairly similar.

    Compare.

You're so right!!! I think it's a "light pink mini calla lily", although I am sure there is a more technical term for it. Thank you so much for your help!
