I know this sounds like a dumb questuin and i read that pineapple sage seed does not remain viable for a long time? In have found out the ususally germinate within nine days, but my question was about how long does the seed remain viable for? (weeks, months, years?)?? How can i extend its viability?

    Thank You,

I don't have much experience with this, but they say you should keep seeds in the refrigerator, or at least a cool, dark place. How long are you talking about? Seeds should remain viable for 1 year. Germination rates decrease over time.

(Side note -- I found some 10 year old coriander seeds and tried germinating them -- less than 1 in 10 sprouted.)

Sage seeds in general do not stay viable for long.

Pineapple sage is quite easy to propagate from stem cuttings though, which is a great way to propagate this plant.
