I have some space in my garden for a pine tree but I'm looking for a variety that would be good for making wreaths. Does anyone have a favorite to suggest? Especially with smallish tight clusters of needles. Thanks!

Pines don't make good wreath foliage, the needles are too long.

The best species to get is Noble Fir (Abies procera); Pacific Silver Fir (Abies amabilis) and Caucasian Fir (Abies nordmanniana) are also good.

That's why I'm looking for some suggestions - I love the look of pine wreaths. There's a tree I see all the time that has great needles and would make a good wreath - but it's huge and I can't reach the lowest branches.
