What does it mean to pinch back a plant? I am dumbfounded with this one.

Pinch out growing tip with thumb and finger. Induces additional branching. Used on certain plants only, at certain times, to produce what is thought to be a more appealing specimen than one grown without it such treatment.

Ah ha. I understand now. I'll research which of my vines to do this to and when. Thanks a million.
