I have a plant that looks like the top of a pinapple (not sure what it's called) but the soil on the top was becoming all mouldy so I transplanted it 3weeks ago and it's beginning again....the mould is starting next to the base of the plant and working it's way out.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem is and a possible cure?

    Thank you

The cause could only be watering too often. Try watering from the bottom so that the top of the soil stays more or less dry.
