pictureless tree quest

    I was out on a hike the other day and went by a flowering tree that caught my eye. Didn't have my camera with me. =(

    It had small bright orange blossums; it was kind of like a cherry blossum, small. Let me know if you can identify w/o further info. Thanks for your time.

    Or flowering quince (Chaenomeles) if you use a liberal definition of "tree."
