This plant was growing along a drainage ditch in Southern Brazoria County, TX last April. I'm fairly certain of the genus (but I've certainly been very wrong before!!), but can't tell which species. P intermedia? Any help?

I have looked at the species that might be in your area, which bloom around April. The size of the flower is important to know, which cannot be told from your photographs. If the corolla is less than than 2 cm long (usually 1.5 cm or less, March to July), and leaves 3-15 mm wide, it would be P. intermedia. If over 2 cm then it is probably P. pulchella (leaves to 25 mm wide, flower deep lavender, April to May)

They're greater than 2 cm, so that clears up my confusion nicely. P pulchella it is! Thanks!
