I figured out how to upload an image from there to here, that was easy. What I couldn't figure out is if there is a way to load them using the IMG link into the main body? Is it somethng that I can do later or is it not an option here?
Re: Photobucket pictures - getting photos into the body After you upload photos, to get them into the main body, so you can type around them, for instance, position your cursor where you want the image, then click on the paperclip dropdown above where you type (top line, between the A and the back arrow) and select the photo you want to insert where your cursor is. It might be different if you're not using the wysiwyg interface, in which case I'd recommend switching, since it's easy to use and works really well.
this software is a little different than other forum s/w. if you use the direct link option from pb, a clickable thumbnail will appear in your post. most sites you can use the img code to post the pic or use 'create html' from pb to post a clickable thumbnail. if you use them here, directly in your post, a hotlink will appear. unless what wcutler indicates above is a workaround to it.
I think the IMG tag has been disabled. [Edited by wcutler - thread link removed as the thread is no longer there]
Understood, I hope anyway. No pictures in the body of the post all of them are done as thumbnails. Works for me. I just have to remember that if I make any changes to the pictures to upload them again or I will be totally lost looking at my own pictures and wondering what everyone is talking about!
Are you referring to the Direct Link code seen in this Photobucket tutorial? If you're going to be posting your Photobucket images on multiple sites, it may make sense to keep all your images there. One set would be much simpler to maintain.
Well I am not that into it, lol. I just do what works. Is good to have different sites do it different ways. Keeps the mind fresh and makes you think when you go to any given site. I am over 30 after all so I need all the brain stimulation I can get!
yes, that is the code i am referring to. on this site, you can upload pics directly from your hard drive - you don't need to use a hosting site at all. i like that since it saves time if i need an id on something quickly or want to add a pic that i haven't uploaded yet (or haven't even pulled of the camera, even) i can just pull right from the hard drive.
