Its hard to find a philo that has prettier leaves than this one! I am a nut for patterned leaves.

I see you have very nice plants in other posts, unfortunately you don't say much about them, so it maybe a good idea if you make a website with all your plants, it is just a thought

    Sigtris,
    I do have a website.
I just don't openly promote it, as some do.

I think I have only mentioned it one time I am working on it "as we speak", LOL. It's nothing much, just an AT&T personal webpage that you get free with your DSL service. I am too computer illiterate to do much more than build one using a template.

Bihai: I hope that when you finish with your website, you will let us know, there are some websites that are rich in information well worth promoting for plant enthusiasts like me, so the more places to learn and to see pictures, the more I can learn about my passion for plants.

Yes I like both type of sites as well, Alfonso. Sometimes I like to get technical and scientific and learn all I can. Other times I just like to look at different plants, the way they are grown, their position etc, which I also learn from. A picture says a thousand words...

Ed: You should also have a website, you should brag about the beautiful collection you already have

To be honest I don't really know how to do a website, I'm not real good on computers!!
Any information would be so helpful. Email me some info if you have it. I just seen your mystery plant as well, its a weird one. Alfonso, you have my home email I will give you my work email in a private message. When I am at home, most people are asleep...

I don't mind it you look at it. Its not at all educational, its simply mainly pictorial. It is also another place that I am putting my plant inventory online. I want to have my invertory in a couple of different places, so that if I lose it in one place, it will be available somewhere else. I am constantly updating it as I acquire new plants. I just really need to hunker down and type it all into a Word document but I am kinda lazy, LOL

You can see what I have done so far on my site at the following URL:

I have visited your site bihai and you have a much larger collection than do I. You obviously are a very successful grower. You specialize in many more species than I have room to grow and your climate is certainly more conducive to giving them their proper environment. Tonight we will be down to 23 degrees F (-5C).

I wish you much success with both your website and collection. There is plenty of room on the internet for all sorts of grower information. If you haven't already, you'll soon learn thousands of people are looking for good information. Obviously, my preference is the scientific background of the plant species I grow which some could care less about. It just interests me and so I write about what I am interested in learning. From the very beginning, for me, plants have been a method of self education. My website is little more than my own notes to myself and my family so my plants will be cared for when I no longer around to tend to them properly.

If you add a stat counter you'll be amazed at how many people read your pages. You can sign up for a free statistics counter here:
    http://my7.statcounter.com/project/...n_id=1&code=c9c66bca61f725841d60a4ec19de228a&

The information will tell you where your viewers are visiting from, how often they visit, and what information they read. I have found it very useful to assist in the modification of pages in order to help the reader find exactly what they are seeking. You will soon learn, if you want people to find your site, you have to promote it. No one will promote it if you don't do it yourself. There are some really good books out there for those of you who want to build your own site. I'd suggest anyone buy one.
