My origional orchid recently grew a new plant. I then cut it when it had a sturdy root structure and planted it in sphagnum moss. After a couple of weeks I checked the roots and i found some fuzzy white stuff on the ends of the roots. Could it be mold because of too much moisture?? what should i do about it? should i cut off the infected parts so that the rest of the root is not infected?
I have uploaded a picture of the roots removed from the pot. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Haven't a clue. The roots do not look normal to my eyes.
I would take the plant out of the moss and use straight bark in a net pot. Water every other day or so and keep your humidity up.
Generally mold does not grow very well in sphagnum moss so ??

I think I would do nothing for a short while. It is quite likely that the white fuzzy stuff on the root tips is nothing more than new, natural growth of the roots. I would be inclined to leave it alone for a couple of weeks. Your local garden store will have a mold killer that can be directly applied to orchids, in case.
