I have three phals and they have many many roots (I quess that's what they are, as I'm new caring for orchids.) hanging over of the pots, about 5-6 inches long. The leaves are about three inches above the soil. Some roots are white and some are pale green. I don't have a clue what to do. Right now they are blooming. Help please.
Don't do anything. Sounds like your growing techniques are working. Continue to give the plants a good environment with substantial humidity as you seem to be doing-the greenish roots indicate this. When the plants are all done flowering then you may want to repot. Check the net for sites on caring for phalaenopsis.
thanks for your reply. i will stop worrying about them. i'm new at this. i really enjoy orchids. my third plant is just setting buds now so all three will bloom together.
