I recently bought a Boston Ivy and a Englishman Ivy and they both produce a dark blue berry in the fall. My concern is, I have 2 small dogs (Bichon, Shitzu/yorkie cross)
what affect would these berries have on them if they were to eat them? The Shorkie will eat anything it can put in it's mouth.

When I put together a page online for safe and toxic woods for pet bird perches, I looked at several sites and compared them. For dogs, that may be the way to go too.

Here is one page for starters ...

    http://www.cybercanine.com/toxicplants.htm

Just keep typing in the search box > English Ivy berries dogs toxic

And read each result. You will probably find a dozen if not dozens of pages to compare.
