I would like to put a small tree in my south facing back yard and am considering planting a Persian Ironwood tree. Does anyone know if there are any environmental problems planting this tree in Vancouver? i.e. invasiveness, pests, other problems?

    Thanks

Perhaps liable to exceed the space, related to witch hazel and produces the same long branches that cannot be lopped back without spoiling the shape. Multiple examples 37'-54' tall are listed by Jacobson in Trees of Seattle - Second Edition (2006).
