I helped clean a garden out for a house I was staging to sell. The owner had passed away.
This plant was in the garden with many branches coming out of the ground with the same spray of leaves on top but much larger.
It had a side shoot with a seperate piece of tuber and it found its way home with me.
    Any ideas folks?

It looks like Rodgersia podophylla. Lots of different cultivars around.
