Hello, I have some pepper seeds that aren't labeled and I'm not sure what variety they are. Does anyone know if there's a way to identify seeds?

    Thanks!

i grow a handful of different peppers each year and for the most part, it's pretty difficult to tell the seeds apart. If you post up some pictures someone might be able to narrow it down to a maybe couple varieties or classes or something but that's probably it.

Yep, I thought it would be difficult. I'm having trouble posting pictures right now. I guess I'll just plant a couple and be surprised. =) Thanks for your response.

Once they've got their first true leaves, though, it becomes much much easier to ID them. Taste a small portion of the leaf - it will have a flavour similar to the peppers the plant will produce.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't know the leaves would hold the flavor.
