pepper growing in a vine?

    This looks like peppers growing on the vine but I know they aren't.

    Any idea on what kind of vine this is?

    milkweed vine, Maybe Matelea or Cynanchum

    Is the pepper looking thing going to flower or is that a leaf? It's solid inside, I squeezed one. I looked at some images of the names you posted but nothing showed the "pepper".

    They are seed pods, if like those of milkweed (Asclepias) liable to pop open and release seeds.

    Thanks Ron, I think those are huge seed pods!

    Yup, that's it. I opened one up last night because I was too curious.
