I took this picture in April, and I think it might be of good enough quality to submit. It's a bud of a Peonia tenuifolia, or a Fernleaf red. At least that's what its label said. The picture was taken while looking down on it, so it should be oriented correctly.
I think I've a photo of this in flower, so I might post the two together in winter when some colour on BPotD would be welcome.
