I’ve read that the woody / "corky" seed coat of Brugmansia seeds should be removed to facilitate germination and keep it from harming the young seedling. Is it really worth the trouble?

I've never had any problem planting them corky stuff and all. Then again, I pretreat all of my seeds with a fungicide and I live in the native range of Brugs.
