Peavine or Vetch?

    Hi again-
    I think that I have narrowed these two down to peavine and/or vetch - but can't quite figure out which is which?!?!? Both of these are from Big Bar Lake in the Cariboo.
    Can you please tell me what they are and how I can tell the difference?

    First one looks like alfalfa, Medicago sativa.

    I think you are right!!! Thanks! Any ideas about the second one?

    Most probably, the second plant is a milk-vetch, Astragalus sp. Plenty of species, which are difficult to identify. In most cases, it needs the ripe pod for proper identification.
