I have a pear tree, and I bought it from a Lowes like 3 months ago and it's flowered already but that's not why I'm posting. There are these two green plant things coming out of the ground near the pear tree, and I don't know what they are. Someone told me it might be something called a Bud Sport. I would post a pic but my camera broke. So could someone tell me what these things are? And what's a Bud Sport?

They could also just be weeds, of course.

It's not a weed either, because the tree is in a raised bed and the 2 plants are just 2pretty 2 be a weed.

If they look like woody green sticks, they are likely to be sprouts growing from the rootstock (the stem and root to which your pear has been grafted). In that case, they should be removed. You describe them as 'pretty' however, and aside from being green, sprouts aren't particularily pretty (it's a subjective term, mind). You could gently dig down with your finger or a small trowel and see if they are attached to the rootstock. Other than that, without a picture it's impossible to tell. And yes, it could still be a weed. Lots of pretty weeds out there, and they'll grow just as happily in a raised bed as they will on the ground.
