This may be a difficult ID... there are so many different varieties... and the post harvest chill period is different for each before ripening... so I need to know what variety of pear tree I have here (first year at this house). I have included pics below... not sure what helps in identifying a type of pear tree, but I've tried to include pics of the bark, leaves and fruit. THANKS!!!!!
Check with Virginia Cooperative Extension about any fruit shows that might be planned or other resources that might be available. Fruit shows here have identification tables where mystery fruits can be shown and discussed. Take at least 6 fruits so the full range of those produced by your tree can be examined.
