My seven year old son put a pear seed into the soil two months ago in a pot next to my tomato plant and had I not marked it I would have pulled it by now thinking it a random weed.

What we have is attached. I wonder if this is the foliage of a new pear tree?
Can anyone tell me if I will need to bring it indoors ina month when the freeze in Boise starts? Night time lows at the beginning of winter are at 28 degrees, then by end of Jan may drop to 5 below zero or lower.
