    Hello,

I have a peachtree down by the lake, it has wonderful fruit, not alot of branches. Went and checked on it something has removed totally about 2 feet of the bark all the way around the base of the tree, maybe a beaver etc... Can I do anything to save this tree? Right now it is beautiful and loaded with fruit. My dad had the tree protected with loose wire, like all the trees by the lake, but this year it came off and I did not replace wire soon enough.

I'm guessing by now the tree is starting to show signs of being dead? If the bark was completely stripped around the trunk of the tree, it's likely a goner.
