Hi, I have been reading about all the other posts here, and I too have a sever sapping problem with our peach tree which seems to be spreading to a few of our other trees. We have approximately 15 to 18 trees in our back yard of various kinds, but our peach tree is the worst off. It is oozing a brown and clear sap. We notices some tiney fast paced crawlers on the trunk of the tree. The sap has been severly oozing non stop. Is the tree salvageable or do we need to remove it. We were considering applying nematodes, but I dont think they can necessarily work in this situation. Do you have any advice about saving or cutting down this tree, and saving the other trees? Thanks for your help!
Probably peach tree borer at this time of year or fungal/bacterial canker if it's foggy or rainy. http://www.colostate.edu/programs/wcrc/pubs/research_outreach/cytosporacanker.pdf
