I have a dwarf peach tree that I purchased early last spring. It is in a large pot on my deck. It stands about 1.5 feet high and looked like "Cousin It" all summer last year with its full healthy foliage.

This year, it blossomed well - a wonderful surprise - and now that the blossoms are finishing, the leaves are coming out. They are curled and blistered. I looked this up on the internet and it seems that my tree is doomed - especially since the only time that I can treat this is before the buds open in the very early spring or late fall - both a long ways off.

If there is anyway that I can save my little tree, could you please help me? What can I do now, during summer, and this fall.

    Thank you.

I had similar situation last spring. I removed manually all the sick leaves not to allow the fungus to spread. After the operation the tree looked rather anemic, but it was able to ripen the fruit and it looks ok this year.
Next year spray it wit dormant oil and lime sulfur early in spring. Keep the foliage dry whenever possible.

One more thing: dispose of diseased leaves safely, don't compost them.

You can also try a copper spray in September, after the harvest. In the meantime I agree that manual removal is the best option and should be relatively easy for a small potted tree.
